Kitchen Sink Choices: We tend to re-buy what we’ve always had without thinking about what works best.  Double bowl sinks are a leftover from times when we didn’t have dishwashers and needed a wash and a rinse bowl.  Not any longer the case and with one single, large bowl we can fit cookie sheets and roasting pans into the sink for cleaning.

I prefer one single large bowl and depth should be at least 8 inches.

The deeper the bowl, the less splashing. Too deep, and tall people lean over too much and back ache s can be the result.
